The conversations that count

The pitch room, the co-production meeting, the festival Q&A, the on-set briefing, the financing conversation. These are the moments we build towards.

Explaining your project to someone who decides in the first two minutes.

04

The festival circuit

Representing your work at screenings, Q&As and events where every conversation matters.

05

The audition

Walking into an English-language audition and sounding like someone who belongs.

06

Press and interviews

Talking about your work in a way that is sharp, considered and quotable.

07

The step up

What people say about our English conversation coaching

How it works

What to expect, and how these sessions work

My English is good enough. Is this really for me?

Good enough for casual or easy workplace conversations is one thing. Good enough for a room where someone is deciding whether your project or your talent is worth their time, that is a different standard entirely. Even native speakers work with coaches.

I am not a director or producer. Is this English conversation coaching still relevant?

Yes. Whether you are an actor preparing for international auditions, a DoP going into your first English-language production, or a crew member working with an overseas team, you need to communicate clearly in English under real conditions.

Is this only for the creative side of the film industry, or also for the business side of the industry?

Both. Whether you are developing a project, financing it, selling it, or working on set, the conversations change but the pressure stays the same, and we cater for all aspects. We adapt the sessions to your role and what you need to handle.

I am earlier in my film career. Is this still for me?

Yes. You do not need to be established in the film industry. In fact, this is often where it helps most. If you are applying for roles, about to move into new working environments or want to broaden what you can comfortably talk about, we prepare you for that. And more, we can also talk about film subjects that interest you and build your confidence and skills that way.

What happens in a session?

We work on your specific situation, your role, your project and the real conversations you are about to have. It is a mixture of practising normal conversations, looking at scenarios you currently face as well as challenges and issues. We go at the pace that feels right for you and push you where needed, in a fun or more critical way.

Is this just about English? I lack confidence as well in speaking not only in English but in the workplace?

Both. We work on how you express yourself clearly, but also how you respond under pressure, handle questions, and stay grounded and confident.

Will this help me in high-pressure situations like pitches, meetings and interviews?

Yes. We focus on real scenarios where decisions are being made, so you are ready to explain your work, answer directly, and keep control of the conversation.

Will this help me in day-to-day work, not just big things in the industry?

Yes. We cover both. From everyday communication in your job or project, from speaking to colleagues, being on set or dealing with other collaborators, as well as the bigger film industry demands in your job or role where more is at stake.

Will this help me prepare for a new role or step up in the film industry?

Yes. If you are moving into a more demanding role or working internationally for the first time, we prepare for the conversations and expectations that come with it.

Can I also learn more about how the film industry works?

Yes. Alongside language, we look at how aspects of your industry work, recent news and developments, trends as well as ways of working and other things around this.

Are sessions in person or remote?

Sessions are fully remote at the moment. They are centred around European time zones, with flexibility depending on your schedule, especially when preparing for key moments such as a big trip and a more intensive schedule.
